Personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.

We collect personal data either automatically through cookies, or through voluntary submission on your part — for example when you fill in forms or send an email. The data we collect relates to:

• contact details (email, phone number);
• identity (last name, first name, date of birth, company, SIREN or SIRET, IP address, connection, usage and location data);
• billing (address, VAT number, bank details).

This information is necessary to contact you (in particular through the newsletter or chat), process your order, open a customer account and serve relevant advertising.

Only authorized persons may access personal data: staff from the various Starify departments (sales, technical, customer service, marketing), the company's subcontractors, and payment service providers.

The retention period for personal data is determined by the applicable legal retention period (for example, commercial and tax retention periods). After these periods expire, the corresponding data will be systematically and regularly deleted, provided that it is no longer necessary for performing or initiating the contract and/or that there is no longer any legitimate interest in retaining it.

Personal data may be shared with third-party companies in the following cases:

• when you use payment services. To deliver these services, we work with third-party banking and financial companies;
• when you publish reviews or information that is accessible to the public;
• when we use service providers to deliver user support, advertising and payment services, or to handle technical development and maintenance of the site. These providers have limited access to your data, only for the purpose of performing those services, and are contractually required to use it in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
